In violin lessons at TS | Talent School in Dresden, you train your ear from day one, because on the violin you shape every note yourself. Posture, bowing and rhythm develop step by step.

How it works

How your violin lessons work at our school.

From your first lesson to your own style – step by step and at your own pace.

Your first lessons

Holding the violin and bow correctly, straight strokes on the open strings G, D, A and E. Then you place your first fingers and play little melodies.

Over time

Clean intonation, playing in positions, vibrato and bow strokes such as détaché and legato. Stylistically we range from classical and folk to pop and film music.

For children and adults

Children play fractional-size violins from 1/16 to 3/4 that grow with them. Adults start on a full-size violin – you can begin at any age.

Practising at home

Short practice sessions with a tuner help to sharpen your ear for clean notes.

Yes – lessons in English are possible with most of our teachers. When you sign up, simply write “lessons in English” in the comments field (“Anmerkungen”) so we can take it into account.
