Cello Lessons in Dresden.
The cello has a sound that gets under your skin: deep, warm and close to the human voice. It carries calm melodies just as well as powerful basslines.
In cello lessons at TS | Talent School in Dresden, you learn to shape a beautiful tone with the bow and to colour it with your left hand. At the same time you train your ear, fine motor skills and concentration.
The repertoire ranges from Bach and classical chamber music to film music and pop arrangements. You can start as a child or as an adult – the cello stays with you for life.

How it works
How your cello lessons work at our school.
From your first lesson to your own style – step by step and at your own pace.
Your first lessons
Sitting position, setting the endpin, holding the bow and your first strokes on the open strings C, G, D and A. Soon the first fingers and simple melodies follow.
Over time
Shifting positions, vibrato and different bow strokes such as legato and staccato. You learn to read bass clef and play pieces from classical music, film music and pop.
For children and adults
Cellos come in smaller sizes from 1/8 to 3/4 to match your height. Adults play a full-size cello and often love its calm, warm sound.
Practising at home
Tune your strings before every practice session and play long, slow bow strokes for a beautiful tone.
