Lessons · from age 8
Tuba Lessons in Dresden.
The tuba is the lowest brass instrument and the foundation of every wind orchestra. Its full, warm sound carries the music – you almost feel it more than you hear it.
In tuba lessons at TS | Talent School in Dresden, you learn to play a big, stable tone with calm breathing and a relaxed embouchure, and you develop solid timing.
Brass band, orchestra, jazz or film music: with the tuba you give the music support and direction. Lessons are available from age 8 and for adults.

How it works
How your tuba lessons work at our school.
From your first lesson to your own style – step by step and at your own pace.
Your first lessons
Breathing calmly and deeply, letting your lips vibrate on the large mouthpiece and your first low notes. You also get to know the valves.
Over time
A full, stable tone, valve combinations, articulation and bass clef. You play basslines and melodies from classical music, jazz, brass band and film music.
For children and adults
Children often start from around age 8, sometimes first on the smaller baritone or euphonium. Adults value the tuba as the foundation of every brass ensemble.
Practising at home
Breathing exercises and long notes are easy to fit into everyday life.
