Lessons · from age 8
Trombone Lessons in Dresden.
The trombone has something no other brass instrument has: the slide. With it you glide seamlessly from note to note – from a soft legato to the typical glissando.
In trombone lessons at TS | Talent School in Dresden, you learn how breath and lips create a full, round tone, and you find the slide positions by ear and by feel.
The trombone is at home in orchestras, big bands, brass bands and pop bands alike. Lessons are available for children from age 8 and for adults – from your first note to playing in an ensemble.

How it works
How your trombone lessons work at our school.
From your first lesson to your own style – step by step and at your own pace.
Your first lessons
Breathing, lip buzzing on the mouthpiece and your first notes in first position. You will soon be playing simple melodies.
Over time
All seven slide positions, natural harmonics, legato with a soft tongue and a wide range. You play pieces from classical music, jazz, brass band and film music.
For children and adults
Children often start from around age 8, when their arm can reach the slide comfortably – sometimes on a smaller trombone. Adults find their way back in easily, even after a long break.
Practising at home
Long, calm notes and lip exercises on the mouthpiece strengthen your embouchure.
